Our flood restoration team will often need you to vacate your property for the duration of the flood repairs and damage restoration, depending on the severity of the damage. This will be discussed well in advance and included in any reporting we give you, but first we’ll need to drying to completely run its course to prevent further mould or inadequate repairs.
Wrightway Construction always uses photo documentation to sign off on our quality of workmanship, showing and demonstrating that the job has been completed to a high standard. You’ll be asked to sign off that the job has been completed to your satisfaction.

We dry out your home completely to prevent mould and mildew from growing and go through a disinfecting process. Once your home is dry, we start the process of cleaning and repairing any damage that has been caused by the flood. You'll often find floor boards have warped, wall linings need to be replaced, etc. First and foremost, we check the structural integrity of the bones of your home.
Here are a few quick steps to follow. Shut off the water supply. Turn off the electricity. Take lots of photos before anything else for the insurance claim. Remove all standing water - dry your house as quickly as possible. Be aware of slippery surfaces like tiles, use rugs for safe footing when moving between rooms. Open all cupboards to allow them to air.

- Never turn your ceiling fans on if the ceiling is wet.
- Don't fix anything without taking lots of photos for the insurance company.
- Do not operate any powered tools, vacuum setc until the home is completely dry.
- Don’t leave wet fabrics, books, magazines, clothes or wet items that are coloured on your floors, they'll stain.
- Don’t attempt to repair or repaint any damaged surfaces until they are mould treated and completely dry.
- Don’t leave furniture directly on wet carpet. Don’t use ordinary household cleaners. Remove all rugs until completely dry, they'll stain.
